We thought that this is just the way it is, that you can’t teach someone to be a good leader, they just are not. We disagree with that premise and believe that leadership is a skill that can be learned. Great leaders have a balance of leadership and management skill, for example they know when to delegate to help others grow by assigning responsibility and accountability given a person’s experience, skill and ability, and respectfully manage their performance expectation.
